Head gasket replacement. 140-160 1974

Have you ever thought of moving further south.......?
(Yeah, I know, there are some GREAT orchid nurseries in your neigborhood.)
I've been reluctant to use a file on the head or block surface. Maybe it is
because I have so few good big ones.
You did this with the FI manifold in place?

Are you planning to retorque sometime soon?

Ben and I did the same thing on the celery wagon but we tore all the way
down because I had to remove one valve to get a stuck bolt out of the port.
Also gave us a chance to spotface the exhaust manifold and get away from the
#%@@ half-washers. So we had to finish a couple days later. Sure makes
reassembly nicer though. And our headgasket was OK before, it was a bolt
holding the valve open. I got to use one of the 3 Elring headgaskets I got
on ebay for $5. (plus shipping)
