Parking Brake Adjustment 900 1995

Greetings,

My 1995 965 parking brake works only on the last notch. My wife parks the car and pulls the brake, but never can fully engage it, thus the transmission is holding the car in place. I want to adjust the lever to fully engage before reaching its maximum extension. Couple of questions:

Is the wife's modus operandi harming the transmission in any way?

If I understand correctly, the adjustment is done from inside the car, removing the center console. Before I go trying to take things apart, does anyone have any exploded diagrams of this? Or any tips in regards to removing plastic pieces without breaking things?

Any tips, tricks or general wisdom to share?

Any info is greatly appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
kkoch
