Cruise control 900

I've raised this question before, but it's been a couple of years so I thought I would try again, as I see some others have done the auto-to-manual conversion. I had an M46 put in a '92 740 turbo (actually a 740 n.a. previously retrofitted with a '93 940 turbo drivetrain) and the results were most satisfying. However -- no cruise. The vacuum stuff checked out, etc. etc. I have also tried changing relays. No luck. I suspect this is something to do with the circuitry, and I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem (and knows a fix)? I think the relay board came from the 940 parent, but if not, could this be the problem? Were there significant changes in the electricals between the last of the 740s and the 940s.

Thanks for your indulgence.
