Turbo hoses--some wreckers don't sell 700

I called up these guys--a junkyard in Bellingham WA (just over the border from Vancouver BC)--about a turbo hose.

Me: I'll looking for a turbo hose
Sales: We don't sell turbo hoses
Me: Do you have a wrecking yard?
Sales: Yes
Me: Then what do you do with the turbo hoses on the cars that come in?
Sales: We don't keep any hoses, we throw them away.

Oh, really? Not every single used turbo hose needs to be chucked--esp if it was recently replaced on a crashed car or had a good running engine.

Is this the experience others have had at junkyards? It surprised me since the AMM to turbo is an especially pricey hose.
