Speedo Capacitor Replacement Help Needed 700

Hi,
I posted recently re a non working speedo/working odometer in our 92 940 with Yazaki instrument cluster. Having switched another instrument cluster from our other 940 I have eliminated the problem being a lack of pulse from the diff. The switched cluster worked fine. So the problem is in the speedo.

A posting by 'Anders' in the FAQS suggest this non working/working combination is likely a faulty 220uF capacitor.

I currently have the speedo out of the car. The procedure outlined in FAQS for capacitor replacement is not obvious. If anyone has been down this path your help will be appreciated.

Where exactly is the capacitor that needs replacement and what are its markings?
Do I have to remove the speedo needle and background? How is this done?
If the needle is removed can this effect callibration?

Once again thanks in advance.
