Twin Cities maintenance help? 200

Now that the weather is getting nice and I'm not hugely pregnant (wahoo!), I'm motivated to start learning how to do the maintainence myself on my '89 245. The problem is, I am scared to start. Analysis paralysis. I've had no issues with my wagon (120K miles - only routine maintenance), and I don't want to be the cause of new problems now.

Is there someone in the Mpls./St. Paul area (I'm in St. Paul by I-94 & Lexington) who would be willing to give me a tutorial some weekend on basic maintenance - oil changes, relays and the like? I have my Bentley manual and a pack of Mann filters! I'd be more than happy to pay/barter for your time.

Give my car an oil change and I'll drive for 3 months. Teach me how to do one and I'll roll for years. Isn't that how the parable goes?

Martha
