Throttle Body Service? 900 1996

Howdy,

I've noticed that unless I use Shell premium, I will get sluggish performance and a whistling or 'whinning' whenever accelerating. Its been a trend i've been noticing since I bought the car last year. I've been using premium for fuel, but I am bound to get poor perfermance even from Mobil premium.

Does this sounds normal? Could it be time to replace my Fuel Filter, or time to service the throttle body? Or is it hard to say because gas station all vary.

Or does Shell use an additive that others don't? Either way, the car feels really sluggish unless I use shell V-Power (most of the time, more expensive).
