Speedo Capacitor Replacement Help Needed 700

Hi,
Was your speedo the Yazaki or VDO and what year model?

Mine is Yazaki. Each digit in the odometer has its own window. I believe the VDO has one odometer window.

Replacing the speedo needle concerns me. I would imagine correct replacement is critical.

You make reference to the 'number plate' and the need to peel it off. It appears to be a thin vinyl like material that would easily stretch and misshapen. Is this the case?
