940 Stut Rods

Just replaced strut rod bushings on my 940 and I note that I've installed one of the rods UPSIDE DOWN...meaning that the (I assume) drain hole on the rear mount portion of the rod is up rather than down. Wonder if it will make any difference. I figure not unless the plate on the front of the rod that contacts the rear cone bushing is angled somehow and not square to the rod as I assumed it was. I really don't want to change it back if not needed. But if it is needed, what would the consequence be of removing and replacing it as regards the change or damage to the bushings or the the alignment. Opinions please.
