Update 700 1991

The resurfaced head is beautiful, and the way both the straightedge and the new head gasket lay perfectly against the entire length and width of it takes away all the worries I had about it. And, best of all, the machine shop only took off 1/2 of what Volvo allows. So, in another 14 years and another 200,000+ miles, there will be enough surface left to do it again, if need be.

Weather has been lousy here in N. Florida, so no work on car since Thursday evening. More rain progged until some time Monday. Am thinking of putting the Volvo's RF tire back on, putting its front wheels back on the ground and pushing it in the garage and putting the RX-7 outside until this gets done. But the RX hates getting wet. So best option may be to procrastinate until next deluge makes decision for me.
