Power steering return hose

The Rack on my 940 Turbo got extremely noisy, (at 70000 miles, not impressed. Anyway I fitted a new rack and noticed the return hose was well past its sell by date. Being a Sunbday evening the only thing I could lay my hands on was internally braided neoprene rubber fuel injection hose.

Consensus of opinion please, go to the volvo dealer and buy the real Mc Coy, or is this adequate? It's been on a couple of weeks and has done 3000 miles or so like it. I need to get under the car tomorrow anyway because one of its fron calipers is seizing.

Regards

Pete
