1991 vs 1989 door speakers 700 1991

i have a 1991 740 sedan with no speakers in the front doors. i am looking at a pair of door speakers from a 1989 740 which are slightly different (but the same size) and i was wondering if there are any differences in sound quality. would it be okay to use these along with the stock speakers in my car or should i look for a pair from a '91.
