I need to replace my alternator. AutoZone has a Duralast for $ 65. Bosch remanufactured ones can be found for $ 150 online. My mechanic says that he has seen quite a few of remanufactured alternators, Bosch and Autozone in particular, come back defective. He said Bosch used be very reliable but not anymore and he no longer gives a warranty on his work unless the alternator came from a dealership ($ 300-400) because those never come back bad. What is your experience?
