1990 740 GLE wagon auto 257000 mi

runs rough rattles driving me nuts..

checked the compression, all even within 10#

changed out plugs to bosch platinum,
checked wires and cap, ok, took out flame trap and cleaned out lines to same.

The plugs came out 1white, 2black 3brown 4white

I listened by ear and it sounds like the # 2 injector is ticking, I was not able to isolate the sound with certainty, but it seemed like #2 made more ticky sound than the others.

I am going to try to find replacements I can afford and swap them out. other than that, What do I do next?
