Any Electricians Oit There? 700 1989

Greetings,

After two months of weekends tracing faults and replacing various components, I need some help. I'll try to be as concise as possible. The original problem was no hot start, which became no start.

I have replaced: Starter, ignition switch, ignition power stage, distributor, both radio suppression relays and the wiring harness. The car starts fine, but since replacing the RSR's, the car will not turn off. I can turn the car off, remove the key and it continues to run. The SRS light and overdrive arrow come on when removing the key.

The car stops when I remove a blue wire to the coil the my mechanic bypassed something a few years ago, but couldn't remember what he did. This same wire must be connected in order for the turbo to boost properly. This extra coil wire runs from the + connector on the coil and ties in to the blue wire on the ignition power stage harness. Tracing this wire back to it's origin, it appears to go through the firewall and I'm guessing goes to the harness on the ignition switch. I have yet to trace this wire. I'm guessing that somehow the ignition switch is not telling the car to shut down when the key is removed.

If someone has a wiring diagram or experience with this, I would much appreciate your feedback. I'm 95% of the way there and I want to complete the task.

Thanks,
