Repairing Sunroof at last! How to remove it???? 900

Hey all,

91 940 GLE

Sunroof stuck in closed position. (Could be worse, could be stuck in open position, I guess!) I've been living with it all winter, (it broke last fall) but the weather was beautiful today so I decided it's about time to fix it before the sunroof weather comes and goes again. Plus the car is due for a repaint and some interior work this summer, so I want to get everything working and pretty so the car will look as nice as it runs and drives.

Anyway, it's crooked-- one side sits lower than the other. I can tilt it up a bit, but not all the way. Cant slide it back at all. as I said the roof is crooked-- one side sits lower than the other, so I think one side jumped a tooth or soemthing. WHen I press the button, the motor turns then stalls....

So, how do I get the damn thing taken apart so I can put it back together and fix it?

I removed the motor-- roof will not budge.

I need a new headliner and have secured a beautiful brand new looking one for $100, so I don't mind being "destructive" to the old headliner if need be.

Any advice appreciated!
