currently, i have hubcaps like these:

i dislike those hubcaps a lot. they're ugly.

i got a set like these:

which are a lot nicer. they're not aftermarket or anything, they're real volvo caps. i just CAN'T GET THEM ON. i'm afraid of pushing too hard and breaking the clips. i got these from my friend so they're used and the metal ring/clips are a bit rusty. i'm scared. help.
