Sporadic smell of coolant coming from the vent. Need an advice... 200 1987

Hello, all Volvo gurus and enthusiasts!

There's such a problem... My car is Volvo 240 '87. Starting from some time, there appeared sporadic smell of coolant coming from the vent when the heater is on. I mentioned that this happens when I drive over bumps e.g. when the car is being shaken thoroughly, or if I make a sharp turn or U-turn, or if I stop sharply. The smell lasts for a short period of time and then it's gone. The inspection of hoses and carpets didn't reveal anything - they are as dry as the Sahara Desert. So, no visible leak. The level of coolant in the expansion tank is the same since I replaced the water pump gasket e.g. about 4 months already. What could it be? Please, help.

Sincerely,
Dmitriy.
