740 turbo bushing installation? 700

I"ve used the search function and have found a plethora of torque rod installation tips for the 240 and a few for the 740 as well. However, I am attempting to install a new set of rubber bushings on my 740t. I've got the rod off, have attempted to support it via vice and work bench and to no avail, I cannot seem to get them in. Installing these bushings seems tantamount to fitting a rubber square peg into a round aluminum hole. It is driving me nuts! Anyway, anyone have any tips for installing these bushings on the 740? I am installing the lower rear bushing and its really tough! Any special volvo tools I need or needed and I do not have? Any special tricks with a vice or lubricant? Heat? Seriously...I need tips.
