i've encountered a problem.... 200 1987

yup, i've got the Y/R wire.

driving to work today, these are some of the things that happened (my problem wasn't resolved before i had to leave):

battery warning light came on
OD arrow was on, but OD was on. when i turned OD off, tachometer shut off. tachometer needle is jumpy and when i'm cruising it's at 1500 rpms, and as soon as i touch the accelerator it goes down to 1000. of course, speedo and odometer don't work. lastly, when i turn on rear fog lights, the light in the switch doesn't turn on. that may just be because the light came out of the housing and i was in too much of a rush to notice. my dimmer works-i think i read earlier that the orange wire is the dimmer.

again, i'm still unclear as to where the little three wire cluster/orange wire go. i don't want to simply connect them to anything. anything specific would be great.

if someone could do me a huuuuuge favor, just open that up in paint and draw a couple arrows to where i need to connect. for reference, there appears to be a two-pronged doohickey (mind my technical jargon) to the left of the speedo (left in the picture).
