~~So Stummped~~ 86 Volvo 240 200

Problem: Car would die 2 sec after started.
three wires on the grey connection were shorting out together.
the fourth one was cut and connected to the temp sensor.
I did several tests like: spark test from plugs 1,3,4 strong
#2 kinda weak. Fuel pumps test with light tester...turned car
over and the light would come on then go off. Fuel pump relay?
After being fed up with the car after the 4th hour of tinkering.
I pulled the ignition harness and the engine harness.
The red wire that goes to the Alt was about to short out by
the pully system. I was checking the ignition wire tonight and
noticed at the plug in part that it was full of grease...?
Along with the icu box as well. Could that have killed the car?
Spark plugs #1,3,4 were srong....Please help bricksters
