No tach pulse with new RPM sensor 900 1991

Car quit two days ago and no tach pulsing when engine cranks (no sign of wanting to start). Put in new RPM sensor and still no tach pulsing. Is this a bad sign, i.e. computer?

I have spare power stage, fuel pump relay, and radio suppression relay that I use for testing and replacing them made no difference. After supper I'll check for spark and fuel, but in the meanwhile, thought might get a quick answer on first place to look with no tach pulses with good RPM sensor.

Thanks,

Gary
