Renew a Scored Drum? 120-130

The rear brakes were attended to today on our '66 122 but it was too late for the driver's side drum. The forward shoe pad was 1/3 gone. Fortunately I had a spare drum from the 544 which fit nicely -- after the adjusters had their clocks cleaned of course.

The pulled drum is scored pretty good on the outer half of the wearing surface. However, there appears to be quite a bit more thickness left than the unscored drum on there now. Is it safe to try to have a gouged drum turned?

BTW, I got one of those $50 MPP hub pullers off Ebay. It worked great and comes with a storage case. Highly recommended.

Happy April 1,

Joe M
