Now would someone please explain why all of this is necessary when I can run 8,000 rpm for long periods with bursts over 9,000, with a stock distributor and bosch blue coil on an engine with over 13 -1 CR????????

I am certainly not implying that you can't improve the ignition by going crank triggered, etc., just that its incorrect to assume that you need something more than a stock ignition to run at high rpms.
