Volvo 700/900 Heater Core Material?

The one I removed had the usual brass or copper inlet pipes and I imagine the rest was the same material as I do not believe the two metals will solder together. The one removed was in poor shape. I have noticed that some of the new all metal radiators do not seem to last any better than the combined plastic and aluminum units. I have had at least two all metal units fail and last time I replaced with a new combined plastic aluminum.
