Fuel Filter Stuck, any tips?

It looks like my fuel filter has been on for 195K...original.

The bolts holding it on are super stuck ,plus it is not easy to hold the filter steady while working the bolts. I ended up popping the old filter and spewing gas all over my apartments garage...stunk up the entire place...but did give me a nice buzz.

Anyway, I am no longer high from huffing gas and want to try to get that fulker off...any tips?
