Pimp My Ride 140-160

Niel,

I have a friend with a 142E race car (10.5:1 compression ratio) that is equipped with a lawn tractor battery. The battery is about 1/3 the size and weight of the stock battery, and commensurately cheaper. Admittedly, he isn't running a heavy accessory load, but does have 2 large electric fuel pumps whirring away any time the car is running. So yes, provided it holds a decent charge, a very small battery will start a car that is in good tune... especially a properly tuned FI engine.
