Door tag says Bendix, calipers are Girling 700

Just wondering if anyone else has run across this. Picked up a set of Bendix pads per the door tag code 3, but when I got down to it I found that I have the Girling front calipers. This is on my 87 745t.
Are the calipers interchangeable? Perhaps a previous owner changed them for some reason... or were some cars mislabeled? Rotors are 10.5 inch, seperate hubs.
