Oil Pressure Warning Light, Lack of, 1993 940 T-Rex/R 900

The most obvious problem would be a burned out light. That is not the issue. I check the lamp and exchanged a few.

Plan of attack:
Check for voltage and ground at the lamp contacts on the circuit “film”.
Check the black wire going to the cluster for voltage. No this is the ground wire and it is normally open.*
(Lucid, I have a 1995 wiring diagram, not a 1993 and no R/R wiring diagram. It is black isn’t it?)

*This is insane; the oil pressure switch is normally open. I cannot figure out the light test circuit works. Any advice?
