Making long travel plans for this car:

I agree with the other gentleman, in that I think you should have the car looked over by a qualified Volvo tech before you committ to anything.

The seller's claim of "conservatively/adult driven" does not jibe with having a clutch job done at less than 150k miles. Yes, the turbos are harder on clutches and brakes, but my '85 244Ti with the same transmission and roughly the same output (different torque and power curves, tho) logged 187k on its factory clutch. I had it replaced because the t/o bearing was noisy - there was still some meat left on the disc. I had never dumped the clutch nor attempted to 'race' with this car, but I do have a leaded right foot and a propensity for high RPM shifts.
