1988 Volvo 740 Tic SRS light reset? 700

anyone have a clue how this light can be reset? its rumored that it is activated by mileage and/or year/date but no one seems to have a real answer.

This is on my 740 Tic,(286.000 miles) my other 1988 740 GLE (a baby @ 98.000 miles) does not have srs, but a SERVICE light which is easily reset-remove dash, hold in button on back and turn key etc.

The reason i ask is i have to go in for inspection, and the car will not pass with this light on, and i KNOW these thieves will tell me something serious is wrong.. (i've NEVER allowed my volvos to be repaired at these shops around here) even a $2800 hit and run I repaired to factory specs for half that. (drunk wiped my front end right off) i see nothing in the manuals---so, im sure a knowledgeable brickboard member probably knows the answer
