745 steering issue 700 1988

My 1988 745 Turbo (also in MI) steering does the exact same thing, but does not have any unusual tire wear. Others have said this is "morning sickness" and a sign the rack is having issues. Mine doesn't leak and the variable boost feeling always goes away after a minute or so, so I'm leaving it alone. I've experienced worn tie rods on my 240 and there was no irregularity to the steering effort, just shaking and poor directional control.
