Car will not start 140-160 1972

Well, I thought the reason the engine on my 72 164 suddenly stopped running was because the fuel pressure was low. The engine will turn over, it almost starts for 1-2 seconds and then shuts down. Well, after changing the fuel filter, inspecting the pump and checking with a pressure gauge just ahead of the pump and at the cold start injector, thats not it. Pressure is 28lbs, just where it ought to be.

So now I guess we move on to spark and ignition. So far I know that the cap and rotor are clean and in good condition. The induction timing light works, so I guess there is spark. How can I check the Crane XR 700 ignition module. Do I just check the coil? Also, in addition to checking the injector trigger points and the coil itself what else should I check? Thanks for all suggestions
