mounting DelcoRemy alternator 120-130

Looks like I'll be getting a Delco Remy 55 amp alternator for the sedan with a B20 block. I realize that I should probably have special custom made mounting bracket (Ron Kwas product recommended), but I'm wondering if there are other options.

My later B18 currently has similar Delco alternator mounted to the block, but without special bracket. There is a long fat bolt which goes through lower mounting hole on alternator (center of photo), directly into threaded hole in front of engine block. Not sure what the hole in block is for, but never used in any of the blocks I've owned in past.

This setup has worked fine for years now, no wear, no problems. Think there might be any problems mounting my new alternator the same way? Any advice appreciated as always.
