Exhaust leaks 200 1988

My exhust is leaking again for the 3rd time due to rust. Its starts from the axel and back 2 the muffler to the tip. The muffler dosent much if any rust its only the pipes from the axel back. Its the only rust anywhere on the car. Can I just take off the pipe after the frist muffle and not worry about it. I dont wont to waste my money again. Its stainless steel, I thought its not spose to rust as bad as it is on mine.
