Help on bracket and oil 900

I need to remove what appears to be a bracket/mount that helps mount the transmission to the engine. It is on the bottom, underneath the car. It is keeping me from looking at the oil pan and tightening the bolts for it. Will removing this tranmission mount bracket cause the tranni to move, or undue stress on other parts. Do i need to support the tranni? I just want to take it down long enough to tighten the pan bolts and have a look-see.

I have a lot of oil coming out between the engine and the transmission above this bracket. If it is not the pan, then it is the main seal.. The rear cam by the ditributor looks dry.

Thanks
Bill
