How much discounted is the VCOA price? I am VERY comfortable with $426. I contacted Turner Volvo and Sacramento Volvo Service and they matched within 10 dollars. I know Shayne at IPD got an even better price up in Portland last year... as I recall just a bit over $300 ea..
I Joined VCOA this week so I maybe need to try again! Turner is not known to be very interested in the vintage support anyway, but SVS is usually pretty well known vintage interests.
Yeah, cross country shipping could be pretty big! It cause me a lot less trouble if you lived in California, ya know!!! LOL!!
It's really a very nice 66... 93k original on the ticker and a very nice interior, once the paste board in drivers door is replaced. The body has a sprinkling of very minor dings and only one is of note and it is the left rear fender lip which has a small, but ugly, dinged!
Got some replacement basket weave for the lower front seats and then the interior will be best called "very good to excellent" original. Even has a good dash. Quite a nice car, all around! Price was very definitely right.
At $850 I will get new fenders ASAP. At $1200 it is a lot harder to swallow!! Just breaks into the Halibrand wheel allowance is all!! Just gotta shop harder and find a decent price, I guess!
OBTW, I have $1300 dollars in the car now and that includes rebuilt brakes, a rebuilt front suspension, new Koni shocks, A 2" sport exhaust, and IPD sway bars. I may just be too damn Scotch!!
Thanks Holly
Mike
