Visor Clips wagon 200

Visor clips have become an issue for me.
Clips from junkers are no longer a solution - seems they are so old that they break soon after installation. I've tried a good number recently.
I need a good and inexpensive solution.

Anyone out there have any solutions that worked out well?

IPD sells them, for $3.50 + shipping each.
If truly new stock, could be a solution, though likely over $10/pair net.
If "new old stock", they are probably ready to break due to age.

I'm considering making some from alum. bar stock.
Might not be pretty, but could work and could last like a Volvo does.
