Mike--sounds like it's most definitely NOT a junker car. That's right...you're the one with "Frieda" (a unique name for the girl, but that was my grandmother's name, so I'll cut ya some slack!). And it also sounds like you got yourself a deal with the Arizona fenders. Just don't forget the butyl putty in installation! Another one of those darn random details that no one around here seemed to be able to have for me--both two autobody supply places and the guys at a sunroof installation outfit looked at me with blank expressions, and couldn't even locate it in their catalogs. So I ended up ordering some from a trailer place all the way from Portland, who had it to my door w/in a week for a grand total of $12 (maybe I could have hunted out some trailer place around here, but I had that expediency issue for the bodywork). Anyway, I ended up happily using it on all sorts of places on the car as I took it apart and put it back together :)
I could probably match your cost efficiency in the brakes, suspension, and shocks (but lightly used Bilsteins, not Konis), but I don't have the sway bars yet and don't have a sport exhaust (newly installed, but just standard stock). I also have the handicap of working around the schedule of my 8-month-old, but it's amazing what can get done while the little guy naps. Nonetheless, it's sure fun being Scotch!
BTW, VCOA discount is usually 10%.
Keep up the good work!
