KYB shocks Customer Service the WORST! 200

With all the volvos we have (9 at present), we've always used KYB products, particularly the Gas-A-Just. Having failed to keep the original receipt for the shocks purchased a couple of years ago on my original 240, I contacted the company direct by email and by phone. Despite a LIFETIME WARRANTY on these shocks (which are leaking and bottoming out) Troy at KYB, the "customer service" person, states that one MUST have the original receipt and must return to the original vendor. They simply refuse to stand behind their product. Too bad, I was just about to purchase another 8 shocks for the two new vehicles, but I won't spend any money on a company that has such poor service, overly rigid policies and proceedures re: defective products. This is NOT the kind of service that we've come to appreciate from great vendors like IPD and FCPGroton. Never again will I purchase a KYB product! This company seems to go the extra mile to make life miserable and do whatever it takes to avoid standing behind the products they produce.
