Peace and quiet! 140-160 1975

I got my header pipe gaskets today from FCP so that I could put my intake/exhaust manifolds back on. The original thought on finding the manifold gasket in the trunk was that was what was causing the noise. Number 2 and 5 cylinders were blowing by the gasket a little bit, but not enough to make the racket. It was the tail pipe gaskets, one was all gone except for the piece that goes around the bolt and the other was not far behind.
Now I can hear the air going in through the butterfly valve.
Too bad I used all that PB Blaster, the smoke on startup looked like it was going to kill all future mosquitos in Souther Minnesota (just the little ones).
I want to thank this board for giving me the courage to save this car. I am learning a lot here. Now I will put on a new valve cover gasket. I am not up to dropping my tranny to fix the leak in the front seal. That is still out of my league. I would need someone to look over my shoulder while I do that.
