240DL Door Panel Removal 200

I tried to remove my interior door trim panel for some power window work and was not able to get it out of the door. I removed all screws and handles, unsnapped it from the trim clips, and the only thing holding it to the door was at the top where it apprently fits down into the door where the window fits. It looks like it should just lift out, but it would not, and since I'm quickly learning the tendency of all Volvo things plastic to shatter, I didn't want to force it. How does the trim panel fit into the top of the door and how do I get this thing out? I searched the forum to no avail (for 240s).
