OVERDRIVE SOLENOID 200 1989

I have a 1989 240DL automatic. I am looking for the overdrive solenoid. It appears to be a small device on the driver's side of the transmission about 6 inches behind the shift linkage near the transmission label plate. I traced the white wire to get there. I hope it is in the same place on a 1986.

1. Can anyone verify that this is it? It is held on with two bolts. 1 inch in diameter, 2 inches tall.

2. Does anybody know if it is in the same place on an 1986 240DL automatic?

3. Does anybody know where I can find a picture of one? What the hole in the transmission looks like with the solenoid removed?

4. Are there transmission fluid channels coming to it that might clog? I believe that it just allows fluid to flow to the overdrive?
