a few problems with my 92 240GL 200 1992

I have a 1992 240GL automatic transmission, with 149k miles on it.

I bought the vehicle back in december, and i have been spending a little bit of money on it when i can. replacing all the fluids, lighting, audio, and other general maintenence stuff.

Here lately the check engine light will come on when i put it in gear, but go off as soon as I accelerate. Other times the vehicle with stall out a few seconds after i start it, or it will stall when i put in gear. I did replace the transmission fluid a few months ago, and the folks at the shop mentioned nothing about the transmission that was out of order. At one point I was able to test the fault codes, and i recieved "fuel mixture too rich or too lean." WIll a new oxygen sensor fix this? Could there be other issues that im missing?

Could the stalling be to a worn timing belt?

Thanks in advance for any help on this situation.

-Ross
