main 12v feed 140-160

I went into my shed and found an early 164 wire
harness I had pulled out with the idea that I may
want to use it to rewire the 145. I poked around
and I think I've got the answer...

The answer to my question is:

battery -> starter post
starter post -> ignition key terminal 30
ignition terminal 30 (different post) -> fuse block
ignition terminal 30 (same post as above) -> light switch

and also

a post from the ignition sends power to the fuse block
if the ignition is on

a post on the light switch sends power to the fuse block
if the lights are on

All I'm going to have to do from here is run a new
heavy gauge wire from the starter post to the ignition
terminal 30 and that should get everything else going.

Does this seem correct?

Thanks all -- I wish I had remembered that I've got
a whole, mostly unmolested 164 harness sitting in the
shed. Sometimes I wonder what else I've got stewing
back there.

chris
