ATF ate my undercoating and other tailshaft bushing fun... 200 1990

Planning on replacing the bushing, seal, and gasket. A coating of ATF in the general area and discernible play in the driveshaft are probably signs that it's about time. Anyhow, whilst poking around in the driveway to see what I would probably need for the job, I notice that the surrounding undercoating has been turned to a gelatenous mess. The rubber mount doesn't feel so sturdy either. So, what would be the recommended way to fix the undercoating while everything is out of the way? Upstate NY winters can kill an unprotected car in short order, so it's something of a priority to me. Also, does anyone know offhand which mount I should get(circular or square)? Thanks.
