1992 240GL Help needed quickly 200 1992

OK, a quick update after checking out the car again tonight.

It's not the check engine light, it's the light bulb light, which probably correlates to the brake light problem. I wonder if this is any indication of an electric problem within the car. I don't know -- I don't have the car savvy.

My roommates sat in the back seat while I test drove it again and they complained about the smell of the exhaust. (I had rolled down the window.) They said it decreased with the windows up and the AC on, but it's a concern since I will have two young children back there.

Also, the ABS light was on, but he said the people at Midas (who checked it out in August) said there was no brake problem. Another light problem makes me really wondering about the electric stuff. Does this thing have a computer that will basically render the car useless if it goes out?

Thanks!
