in tank fuel sender question! 900 1994

i have a 94 940 sedan i was at the u pull it looking for a 940 so i can get the fuel sender for the gauge but only found every other volvo vehicle between 88- 90 all 700 series. my question is are the fuel senders the same between the two so i can pull one from a 740 or 760 turbo or non turbo make the necessary repair to the sender if needed and install it in my 940 . thanks for the help.
