Installing a roof rack on my '93 240 wagon 200 1993

I have a 1993 240 wagon. I just procurred a factory roof rack, it's the BLACK one with 4 feet, NOT the earlier chrome 6 feet model. This black version in '93 was universal to the 240/740/940 I believe. Does anyone have a template or instructions on where to drill the holes? It's obvious that I center it left to right, I'm lost when it comes to the front/ rear location. I'm told the hole location is critical, is this true? Does anyone have a template they will sell me? Thanks in advance fore any help!
