Greetings fellow Volvo owners.

Question - In my SC-816 radio I can hear a slight amplification hiss in the background coming through my speakers. This is just the radio without the volvo amp. It is very slight. When I hit the volume knob to mute the radio I can still hear the slight hiss. Do your Volvo radios do the same?

My radio sounds great!! All speakers are Volvo, except the front door ones; they are dimond brand @4ohm and I have not had any problems due to the drop in ohms. And yes, the little balck window in the front of the radio is for an optional remote.

If any are interested I have an extra Volvo 5 disc changer that was in my car -replaced with a new one, only to find it was my fuse holder that was bad - and I have my old SC-811 radio with code that I replaced with the SC-816 radio. email me at Miguel3378@yahoo.com if interested.
